The company was established in 1909 in Tuebingen, Germany, and merged with the ALB-GOLD Group in 2000.

ALB-GOLD is a traditional family-owned company located in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. The company's headquarters is situated in southern Germany in the Swabian Alb – surrounded by the Black Forest, the city of Stuttgart, and the Lake of Constance. This is the home of traditional German noodles.
